The Stool Examination test is performed to look for bacteria, viruses, and other germs in your stool sample. It helps diagnose diseases like gastric or colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, etc.
The stool sample is examined to determine whether bacteria or microorganisms have infected the intestine. Symptoms such as:
- Diarrhea
- Blood in stool
- Fever
- Stomach pain
- Nausea
- Weak immune system
- Food poisoning
For the test procedure, the patient has to take a sample of their urine in containers for 24 hours. The first urine of the day has to be flushed, and the next trip to the bathroom will be the first sample. The time has to be tracked.

Stool for Occult Blood
The Stool for Occult Blood is known as the Faecal Occult Blood test, where the stool is tested for occult blood. Occult blood indicates colon cancer or polyps in the rectum. As the occult blood passes in a
limited amount, only this test can help identify and diagnose the disease.
