Pregnancy Test
A pregnancy test is a simple blood or urine test to find out whether a woman is pregnant or not. The principle behind these tests is detecting a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).
When a woman becomes pregnant, her body produces this hormone as soon as a fertilized egg attaches to the uterus wall.
Pregnancy Tests
Blood test
This test requires your blood sample, so it is usually conducted at the healthcare centre. A blood test can
detect pregnancy earlier than a home pregnancy test.
Urine test
You can use this test in your home. Urine-test pregnancy testing kits are readily available in pharmacies.
This test shows results within a few minutes.
