Malignant cell

Test

Malignant cell

Also known as malignant cell cytology, this is a test in which the cells collected from the urine sample are examined to see if they are functioning properly. Doctors recommend this test to check for infections, urinary tract inflammatory disease, cancer, and even pre-cancer. While this test may sound like a biopsy, it is entirely different from that. Here, unlike biopsy, individual cells are taken into account, where a piece of tissue is examined containing many cell clusters.

Apart from detecting malignant cells, if the bacteria and yeast are found in the urine, the person might be suffering from a urinary tract infection.
