Malarial Falciparum and Vivax Antigen

Test

Malarial Falciparum and Vivax Antigen (Parasite V & F) RDT

A Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) detects the presence of malaria antigens in a person’s blood. This is an excellent way of quickly establishing the diagnosis of malaria infection.

The test gets its name from Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium Vivax, two of the other three species of human malaria-causing pathogens. Since it’s a rapid test, it hardly takes 15-20 minutes to show results.
