Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH)- Ascitic Fluid
This test is used to measure the enzyme lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels in the ascitic fluid. The LDH enzyme is used to convert sugar into energy within the cells.
Thus, abnormal levels of LDH indicated possible trauma to the abdomen, malignancies, pancreatic, liver, or kidney diseases, etc.

This test measures LDH levels in the blood serum to diagnose any cellular damage.
Lactate-CSF
This test measures lactate levels in the CSF fluid. Elevated levels of lactate in CSF might indicate medical
conditions like cerebral glycolysis or hypoxia associated with bacterial meningitis, cerebral infection, etc.
Lactate-Plasma
This test measures lactate levels in blood serum to diagnose medical conditions like tissue
hypoperfusion and hypoxia.
