Fertility Profile – I
Test
Fertility Profile - I
Blood samples can be analysed for a hormone called progesterone to see if you’re ovulating. The test’s timing is determined by how regular your period is.
Fertility Profile - I Tests
Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
This test determines how much follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is present in your blood. FSH assists in the management of a woman's menstrual cycle and stimulates egg production in the
ovaries.
Luteinising Hormone (LH)
A luteinizing hormone test may be ordered for a variety of reasons. An LH test is a part of an infertility evaluation or to rule out a pituitary gland condition.
Prolactin (PRL)
A prolactin (PRL) test is used to determine the amount of prolactin in the blood. Prolactin is produced
by the pituitary gland, a small gland near the base of the brain. Prolactin levels are high in pregnant
women and new mothers.
