Electrolyte Profile
Test
Electrolyte Profile - Serum Chloride, Potassium, Sodium
A chloride and other electrolytes, such as potassium, sodium, and bicarbonate, are measured in an electrolyte panel.
If you have signs of acid or fluid imbalance, such as vomiting over an extended length of time, you may need a chloride blood test.
Test
Electrolyte Profile - Urine Chloride, Potassium, Sodium
A urine sodium test determines whether the amount of sodium in a sample of your urine is within normal limits.
Too much or too little salt can indicate a problem with your kidneys or another health concern. They may ask you to perform a sodium urine test after you’ve already taken a sodium blood test and received abnormal findings.
