Dual Marker Free Beta HCG
A Double Marker Test is a sort of test used to identify whether or not the foetus has any chromosomal abnormalities. This test is particularly important for detecting any neurological problems in the foetus, such as Down’s syndrome or Edward’s Syndrome.
Chromosomal abnormalities in the foetus can cause major developmental malformations and contribute to a variety of health problems in the kid after birth, but they are relatively uncommon. Pregnant women over 35 years of age, as well as those with a family history of birth abnormalities and a history of insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes, are administered the Double Marker Test.
PAPP-A:
The PAPP-A test, along with other tests, is used to screen a pregnant woman for chromosomal abnormalities or genetic disorders such as Down syndrome.
