Test

Total Leucocyte Count (TLC)

The Total Leucocyte Count (TLC) test measures the total leucocyte (white blood cell) count in the blood. The white blood cells determine the ability of our body to fight diseases. The TLC test helps in:

  • Diagnosing infections and inflammations
  • Diagnose bone marrow disorders
  • Monitor chemotherapy treatment
  • Part of CBC test for a regular checkup

The normal range of TLC is between 4000 to 11000 cells/cubic millimeter of blood. All the types of white blood cells are measured in the TLC test. The TLC test requires no prior preparations as it is a simple blood test.
